Publication Mission / Terms
As an official publication of the AFA, Professional Farrier™ is a dynamic, ever-developing magazine, one which reflects diversity yet focuses on exactly what the name indicates—professional farriery. Any article dealing with farriery, farriers, and related pertinent subjects will receive consideration for inclusion. Although we accept profiles, humorous dialogues, and “feel good” articles, our focus is upon serving as the “voice” of the AFA, publishing material which promotes good farriery, and forwarding the association and its grounding principles of education, certification, communication, research, and innovation.

The AFA and Professional Farrier are eager to cultivate and encourage authorship within the farrier community, and especially within the AFA. Prospective authors should feel free to seek assistance from members of the Publications Committee and/or members of the Professional Farrier™ staff. We are happy to work with you as you develop ideas and concepts for publication.
